TR6 Clutch fluid question

Hi Folks,

What is the best recommended "CLUTCH FLUID" for a TR6? Mine is a '71. I have "Dot 5" in the Brake Master Cyl.

Thanx for your opinions.

Russ

Essentially the same debate for clutch fluid as for brake fluid. Some love DOT 5, some hate it. I'm part of the first group.

Russ,
I would use the same in both regardless of the type.

It would never occur to me to use a different fluid in the clutch system v the brakes - possibly because of years with a TR3 (same reservoir can). I use DOT5 - if anything I would think the problems some seem to experience with it would be even easier to overcome in the clutch system (smaller capacity, only one bleed, can possibly do a gravity bleed).

Thanx folks for the quick replies.

"Dot 5" it is.

Regards, Russ
