Clutch Clevis Pin

The last Healey Marque magazine had a tech article by Norman Nock about the wear on the clutch and brake clevis pins. I went out today and checked mine. There was about an inch of free play -- too much. I got my bod upside down under the steering wheel and observed that the PO had replaced the clevis pin with a bolt and nut. I removed said bolt and found two grooves just like Norman's illustration. I replaced the bolt with a fresh one and now have no free play. Yes, the forked push rod for the clutch had elongated holes, but my new bolt has resulted in next to no free play. Thanks Norman for the article and thanks Healey Marque (Reid Trammel) for publishing it.
