T-Series Clutch and transmission whirrling noise Q?

Since the engine is coming out (see clutch is loco thread)and I dont want to do this again any time soon on the 75 are there any other high quality clutch options out there other than the borg and beck clutch?

Since I'm going to be there the transmission has had a whirrling sound to it when warm with the clutch out and the car in neutral. When you release the clutch you can hear the noise spool up. Goes away the second you put the lightest pressure on the clutch. Any ideas on what could be the cause and what parts would be needed?

Input shaft bearing, needle bearings in the "snoot" at the first motion/shaft assembly. This could be one of those "might as well" moments. And possibly the pilot bush in the flywheel is a bit "hogged" and allows 'chatter'... without a tear-down and inspection it'll be all speculation.
