Classics Up in Smoke

Sorry, but the Z600 was a horrid lttle thing. Don't get confused with the S600.

Actually in the world of micro car collectors, anything unusual is deemed worthy of attention, and a Honda Z600 with (presumably) bright orange paint and a quirky body design fits the unusual category just perfect...

A tragic reminder to maintain your auto insurance coverage on stored cars, unless you can afford to lose them.

"Comprehensive" physical damage coverage is what you want, with "agreed value" endorsement on the value of the car.

Don't leave home without it . . . :nonono:

What was the difference in the 2?

Let's see here...

Honda S600 roadster, 600 = engine size, this car is probably about the same size as a Berkeley

Honda Z600, same engine as above, they often come in rather bright colours...

And the rather mundane Honda N600, still collectable in micro car circles but the styling is rather ordinary...

That is exactly what I thought it was

I had one. I always spent 2 weeks at the mechanics twice a year for a motor rebuild .Other than that it was a blast.
My brother took his driving test in it and it was a closed course test and one thing you had to do was drive into this box and do a 3 point turn. My baby bro went in and turned a circle in it and drove out.
The instructor wasn't please made him do it right and still docked him.
Ex-wife got the new Prelude and I got that. Used to haul all my work stuff in it.

Th 600Z did not have the same engine as the S600.
The S had a 4-cylinder, 606cc, twin-cam, all needle-roller-bearing, 4 carb screamer that could be persuaded over 11,000 rpm. Normal red line was 9,500rpm.

The Z had a 2-cylinder transverse FWD setup.

It was a long time ago, but I thought mine was a 4 cyl.
