TR6 Classic Technologies front sealing block

Bottom end on my ‘73 is coming together. I decided to spring for the Classic Technologies front sealing block. I like both the product and Marc. I learned that the 12 point ARP main bolts are too tall, though, and decided the easiest solution was a couple minutes with the bench grinder shortening the bolts heads. Pretty pleased that I’ll have no worries now about pulling aluminum threads out.
I also stuck a couple new standard size thrust washers in and lo and behold... Pics below.

Nice! I have a steel sealing block that I got AFTER I did my engine resto. I'm holding it for when I need it. Great pics, thanks.

Thank you, hope it doesn’t leak! Anywhere. My somewhat far-fetched plan is to get it running before dropping body on... just in case. Complicated by fact I’m converting to TBI. And the fact it was sitting outside under a leaky tarp for thirteen years before I rescued it last summer.

That is a tiny picture of your TR6, but the paint looks brilliant.

Thanks Nichola. Here's a bigger pic of my car...

TBI sounds cool.... be sure to fill us in on the details. Which manufacturer? Pics of installation?

Be sure to follow the installation sequence in Bentley for that sealing block..the part about when to tighten the 'set screws'

Beautiful car. Everyone is urging me to try resurrecting the original paint, but I’ll cross that bridge later. I have doubts.
I bought the Patton Engineering TBI kit. Thought I’d get it running first with the carbs, but now decided to bite the bullet and do initial startup with the TBI. Will have fire extinguishers ready, and his number on speed dial.

The steel block from Classic Technologies had instructions, which I followed. By the way, does anyone really use the rubber wedges that came with my gasket kit? It is like trying to hammer a gummy bear into the channel. Generally, I do follow shop manual or experienced suggestions from here and other resources.

Is this what everyone refers to as the Bentley manual? Pic...

This is the "Bentley".
https://mossmotors.com/triumph-tr6-250/books-videos/bentley-shop-manual-tr6-and-tr250
Robert Bentley is the publisher/publishing company...not the author.
Bentley publishes manuals for MG, Triumph, Austin Healey, etc.
What you have there may contain identical information as the Bentley which is titled 'the complete official Triumph TR6 & TR250 workshop manual" and 'drivers handbook'....nearly 600 pages in total.
And "no" I tried and gave up on the rubber wedges.
