Classic Conversions Four Link

Offline
Here's the kit from Bill Guzman that will soon be installed on my 1974-1/2 MGB/GT V8 conversion.

It is a bolt-on application with the exception of the four brackets that are welded to the axle tubing.

I'll have pictures of the install and final product as the I progress on the install.

No smart arsed remarks on my habitual procrastination, please.

Pete and I got about half way through the install yesterday.

I'm glad I have a lift...this would not have been as easy with the car only on jack stands....but would still be do-able

On a rubber bumper car, the single battery box interferes with the motion of the upper link on the right hand side. We had to "redesign" the box. A Group 26 battery will fit...a Group 24 will no longer fit.

I also needed to elongate the holes for the U-bolts on the lower link assemblies. This is ***probably*** because I have a Ford differential and no an MGB differential.

No big deal.

The vent tube did NOT need to be relocated with this application.

This project of the V8 should be completed on Wednesday. We need to weld tabs onto the differential for the attachment points of the upper links, then install the springs/shocks.

Here's a preview:
