I took a quick search through the past few year's auction prices, this could be near a record price for a used-up, non-running race car. Ferrari lookout......

They paid, what $265 for it. Has at least a different rear clip, if not doors, not painted like it was "then", doesn't run, and some moron bid it to 1.3M?
I mean, if it was as-raced, but un-crashed, what, 75-100K, RUNNING?

Agree the price is rather insane but this particular car has probably the most significant history of any Healey existing today. The new owner is now going to have it restored to the car's point in time of his choice.
For once the cost of restoration will be insignificant compared to the initial buying price. Sure wish I was involved in the restoration!
