Santa braught me a gorgeous 13" Moto Lita wood steering wheel for the 61 Midget. man is it going to look good against this red interior!

Woohoo!

Meh. Wood is for wussies.....give me a black bakelite wheel and I'm good. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

j/k, of course. It'll look nice against that new red interior! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

You're going to like that!
I got a 14" from Santa last year and it made the world of a difference in feel.
Be careful getting the old one off...

Here is what it will look like.

Me too, Jeff. I have dreams that some day Tunebug will look that sharp, although in black. Just dreams for now, but maybe some day.

Drew, I need to get off my dead butt and finish a couple of other things so I can start on one of the Bugeyes. The only candidate I have here is pretty far gone, so presents a challenge in terms of the labor required. Floor pans, spring boxes, etc.
My major problem is lack of work space. I can only work on one at a time.
Hopefully in a couple of years I'll have something worthy of being seen in public.
Jeff

All us Bugeye folks like a tidy work space. Hehe.

Jack, I'd love a new garage, but it just isn't in the cards right now. What I currently have was built about 1900, and needs a lot of work. And, the big problem is that it's only about 16' x 18'.
I used to have a corner in a friends body shop, but lost that when he retired and sold the business.
Jeff

I've got the one-at-a-time issue as well, with a standard 2-car attached garage (though it's of generous size). Wife's truck in one bay, my projects in another. It's a big part of the reason why I only own one car.
