This photograph was taken in the early seventies, in my home town of Wolverhampton. Most, but not all of the cars are British, although there are a few imports thrown in for good measure.

How many can you identify? No prize, but I think that the title of Car Geek Supreme might be appropriate.....

A bigger photo would be great; I think I can identify 5 from this little pic.

Reliant Robin, Morris Minor, Mini, Mini, Mini, MGBGT, Mini, Mini, Austin, Mini.........

Since the picture isn't too clear,I'll take a guess...

Opel Kadett Anglia 105E

Hillman Hunter?

Ford Anglia Renault Austin 1100 Mini Ford Corsair Minor estate Triumph MGB GT

Unsure Reliant Robin

estate

Pics look to have the obvious MGB along with Morris, VW, Peugeot, Pinto, Camaro and several sedans that may be Cortinas (sp). Tuff pictures for old eyes!

I see three VW bugs and that car we in the states called a Mercury Capri.

Here's what we have.....

in the black and white shot, starting with the vehicles closest to the camera we have a Mini Traveller, Ford Cortina Mk3 estate, a Triumph 1300 sedan (front wheel drive, high levels of trim, sporty performance) and another Cortina, this time a Mk3 sedan. Next, left to right there is a Bedford HA van, and a Reliant Regal. In the parking lot itself there is a Ford 100E sedan, a Popular or an Anglia, then a Renault R10. Next to that is an Austin or Morris 1100 (Austin America), Mini, Ford Corsair, then a Morris 1000 Traveller. The next vehicle is a Triumph 1500, to all intents and purposes the replacement for the Triumph 1300, but for this model they had reverted to rear wheel drive. Next of course there is the MGB GT, and then a Hillman Avenger.

behind the Avenger there is the nose end of an Austin Maxi, and there are Minis, a Morris Marina, Mk2 Ford Escort, Ford 105E Anglia, and a Mk2 Ford Cortina.

For the colour shot, closest we have a Hillman Imp, Morris Marina, Hillman Hunter and the rear of a Mk2 Escort. Front row of the car park, left to right there's a Ford 105E Anglia (good spot, Doug), Mini Clubman, Vauxhall Viva HC, Mk2 Cortina, another Imp, Austin/Morris 1100, Renault R4, Mk2 Cortina, Anglia 105E estate, another Hillman Hunter, Mk2 Escort and a Vauxhall HB Viva.

Behind these you can make out rooflines of a VW Beetle, Triumph 2000, Imp, 1100, Mini, and a Mk1 Ford Capri. etc.... Over to the left, closer to the grand building (the courthouse), there is a mustard colored Landcrab!

quiet day?
