Christmas and The Nativity Movie

I know this kind of borders on religious discussion, but I went with my wife to see the movie The Nativity. Afterwards we walked thru the mega-mall to get to the car, the place was filled with Christmas shoppers, obviously. I was really struck by the contrast between the original Christmas and what it has become for us here. It really put things in perspective.
 
It has become (well, I think it always has been in my lifetime) way too commercialized. I could say more but then I'd be violating my own rules!
