I ran across someone selling a new choke cable for a BJ8.
The discription is, choke cable, part number AHB6021. This fits Austin Healey 3000 BJ8.

The choke cable I purchased from Moss, says Choke on the knob.

Here is a photo of what the person says is part number AHB6021.

Which is the "correct" knob?
Roger

Hi Roger, :savewave:
I won't comment on whether that knob graphic was ever used on a Healey. Here is what my '67 knob looks like.

Roger,
I purchased my 1965 BJ8 in 1980 with the original choke cable. It looked just like Greg's. Sometime in the mid to late-1980s I replaced the cable with another one that also looks like Greg's. The graphic looks too 1970s to be original. Just my 2 cents. Stephen

Thanks guys. Sometime you assume you have the right parts on your car, then someone says they are selling something for your car and describes it in a way that make you "think" their part is correct.

Looks like I've been pulling on the "correct" knob after all.
Cheers, Roger

Well, looks like my choke knob is also incorrect. It has a graphic on it unlike either of those pictured here. Does anyone make a "correct" one?

AH Spares in England sells a choke cable exactly like the one illustrated by AUSMHLY. It is about $29.00 U.S. shipped by air to the states.
