Choke Cable Handle

Is it possible to replace the plastic handle on the choke cable some how? Mine is missing and Moss only lists the complete unit as a replacement - the quality of which has been frowned upon in recent posts.

I've used a "new" replacement cable assembly and put an original hexagonal end with the spring/detent and knob on it. So, "yes" it's possible. I hacksaw'd the knob off 5/8" from the "C" end, broke the rest of the plastic away from the shaft, then ran a die (8-32 IIRC) down it, drilled the nub of the old cable out of the hex end of the original and tapped it. Works fine and looks almost original (the bezel on the "new" assembly is larger OD than original). Certainly acceptable for a daily driver. If I'd taken the time to reduce the bezel down to the size of an original it'd "pass" easily on quick inspection.

Simon! Sorry this took so long!

Not sure. This was a cable end and knob from an original which had beed frayed and abused over its lifetime. Cut the cable off and I've had it "knockin' about" in my toolbox for years.
