Good morning all.

Does anyone have a picture (not a pdf) of the H6 pair mounted on the TR3A engine, *showing detail of the choke and cable attachment*?

Thanks.
Tom

Best I can do.

Good job Harry!
I wanted to answer this post but my car is lets say hybernating at the moment. I couldn`t get to it to take a pic short of deconstructing it`s enclosure. One mistake I made when I was working is NOT having the sheetmetal boys make me a duplicate of that choke cable holdown bracket out of stainless steel, mine is forever accumulating rust. I could make it myself but if they did it, it would be an exact duplicate of the original only S.S.

Hey Harry,

Those are my carbs in the first two pictures... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif

Excellent! A zillion thanks!

Harry - you should publish a book.

Tom

martx-5,

Yes they are and I should have mentioned that! Thanks, it was a lot warmer (not to mention cleaner) working with your carbs as mine are in the 9 degree F garage where I would have had to take off the air filters. I told you they would come in handy as these carb questions seem to come up a lot.

I like the way you annotated everything. How is that done?? Can I do that in a basic Photoshop program??

Art,

You can do it in Photo shop which is a better program but I used basic old "Paint" which is a standard windows program listed under accessories. Open your photo in paint, click on the big capital A in the tool bar on the left, choose how you want it to appear IE picture intact or in a colored block of its own. I click on the lower box which leaves the photo intact and all you see is the letters. Then you create a box where you want the letters to appear on the photo that's also big enough to hold your font size, and type away. The hard part is figuring out what color will show up best on the background after you save and post it.

Great pics Harry, however it appears the connection is not made correctly. On the front carb the jet lever goes on the motor(inside)side of the connecting rod fork. If placed inside the fork you hamper the ability of the jet to properly return.

Ed,

Brrrrr, you made me go in that cold garage. The choke cable pin which the cable attaches to is in backwards as well. Wire hooks up to the engine side. Thanks for pointing that out. To all, sorry for the confusion.

Sorry Harry. Too darn cold here too. So far the 2nd coldest Feb on record. Wonderful! My car is up aon jacks and seems to be spriongin leaks all over the place, like form coolant hose fittings and fuel pump bowl. I'm begining to wonder if it's from the cold.

Sorry to hear about the leaks! I love that glass bowl and cork gasket as well. For some reason it never fails when I stand there from above and tighten that thumb screw it's always in the wrong direction!
