TR4/4A Chimney nuts, where do they go

Wanting to know where two chimney nuts go. Am doing a full restoration on a TR4A and in process of installing all he spire, captive, J nuts etc., and I have two Chimney Nuts that I forgot to label. Rather than taking a bolt, or sheet metal screw they take a machine screw. Based on this I'd guess somewhere on the dash panel... ? Below is a picture of one of the nuts next to a captive nut (used to attach the gearbox cover).

These are parts from some American sled. A desperate PO has stuck them on in place of
the correct bits. You may as well file them in the bits and bobs drawer to repair the lawn mower.

Thanks! Explains the the sound of crickets from a previous enquiry. Wanted to avoid having to disassemble area due to using incorrect part
 
With shorter bolts I've seen those types of fitting used where the fiber transmission tunnel cover attaches to the bulkhead sheet metal flange.
