Anyone in the metro Chicago area.... I am looking for someone to do the body on the Mini and have a look at the Jag. I know when it comes to paint and bodywork, you get what you pay for. I am not looking for Earl Schieb or Maaco prices but my last name isn't Trump either! LoL Any referrences greatly appreciated!
 
Have you checked the Chicagoland MG Club's website?

I was thinking have having Wade Keene paint my MG one of these days. Haven't yet... I'm pretty sure he does bodywork too. He's way down in Homewood.

As for recommendations, I've used Ultimate Paint Shop WAAAYYY up in Lake Bluff on my SAAB after a bump. They did quite a nice job, but insurance took care of it. They do body and paint work mostly on Audi's, Porsche's, and SAAB's. But a Lotus Elise was there that was a bit of a mess... Anyway, they are probably a bit on the $$$ side...

I've also used Gerber a couple times with mixed results. Not terrible, but they are definitely an insurance shop.
