I checked the online availability and the main hotel or whatever is full up for that weekend it looks like. Only the more expensive ones left. I am still not sure if things are going to go well with me. I need to find a place with a cancellation policy that don't charge if you cancel with like a weeks notice or something. I really want do this thing. I would love a long drive in the midget. I hope this comes together for me. It would be so good to see gobs of other midget and sprites everywhere.
 
Did you tell em you were with the spridget group, try again, should be room left.

Don't forget tell em spridget group, we have the whole hotel blocked for us.

And they do have a very liberal cancellation policy - 36 hours or so

OK then I am gonna call them tomorrow. I am excited about this. Will give me motivation to go ahead and finish. I been back to work and working lots of hours now. Doing engineering work, solving problems, keeping machines running, getting called in in the night, but I got to get my midget finished. Tired as heck right now, but I must make this trip to missouri.

Hey what is a "Funkana"?

Originally from StLouis before moving to Denver my family has had several different homes at the Lake and still does. I can tell you all that you will be thrilled to death with the incredible driving the local roads offer. If for some reason you need pointers on where to go just come find me there, my car will be the black 61 with red interior and outrageous motor under the hood errrr bonnet!

No charge ahead of time. Only get charges if cancel inside their notice time (72 hours). No worries since it's not until June. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

I've got my reservations set, but don't yet know if I'll make it. It's far from here, and takes a lot of vacation time and $$ to make the trip. Still on the agenda, but far from certain.
 
A Funkana is a drive in a parking lot, no speed, to do various things. Stoping on a spot, breaking baloons, etc.

Can do even with the best or oldest car.
