I think the only resitance to change [inertia] in this case is those with conventional minds.--Keoke- /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

Re: Check out this Spitfire [look at license plate

Another question: Why own an LBC if you can't hear it?

Re: Check out this Spitfire [look at license plate

I'll bet it STILL leaks oil though...

Re: Check out this Spitfire [look at license plate

Yikes! Battery acid! The antithesis of engine oil. So much for automatic rustproofing.

Re: Check out this Spitfire [look at license plate

The person who did this should be shot!

It's like putting UPVC windows in a tudor mansion

Re: Check out this Spitfire [look at license plate

Hello Keoke,

"I think the only resitance to change [inertia] in this case is those with conventional minds."

A great advance, slower, heavier and no luggage space?

Incidentally, which is more efficient, a vehicle with a stand alone power source, i.e. an engine or an electric powered vehicle that has the power source miles away, and that power is transformed, distributed, transformed and then rectified to a usable energy source?

Re: Check out this Spitfire [look at license plate

Someone bought it I see! It looks low in the front and high in the back to me. I wonder who will be the first to make the first hybrid-powered LBC. Got a wrecked Prius anyone?...

Re: Check out this Spitfire [look at license plate

I saw this on Ebay a couple of days ago during my daily search the next English sports car (as if my hands aren't alread full). Why oh why?

There's a doctor in California who owns half a dozen or more Triumph Mayflowers, several of which are in very good to excellent (or better) condition. One of them, though, is electric...and it's apparently the most driveable of the fleet. <https://www.hairdoc.com/mayflower.html>

If someone had "butchered" an original early TR2 this way, I'd be far less sympathetic. But Spitfires really aren't that rare; look how many appear just on eBay every week.

Re: Check out this Spitfire [look at license plate

There's a guy running around in Birmingham, AL with an electric Alfa Romeo - really weird for him to pull up next to you...

Re: Check out this Spitfire [look at license plate

Hey Tony,
It would be weird for me to pull up next to any kind of Alfa here in Franklin, Louisiana.
Hey, I really enjoyed the visit Saturday in New Orleans.
(I think I actually got a word in edgewise, too.)

Jerri's still talking about the color of your car, Bill....good thing I don't need to paint anything right now!
