Looking at the cars on Ebay and came across this 66 BJ8.
Buy it now, $69,900.00

Check out the number of fins on the fan.
Q: More fins better or does designs like the texas cooler bring better results.

I also noticed a set of glass parking lights was used, next to the larger plastic ones.

Nicely done restoration on this car.
Price seems fair in this market.

The fan in question looks very much like the 13-bladed plastic fan off a TR6. By chance, I purchased one on e-bay a couple of years ago. It also came with a metal adapter hub which appears to line up with the bolt holes on my Big Healey's water pump. This fan has a 14 1/2" diameter, slightly smaller than the Big Healey stock fan. My fan is red molded plastic. I haven't gotten around to trying to fit it on my Healey, but the photos seem to indicate that it will fit.

The fan may be correct for the car. A friend who has a German market BJ8 unrestored in storage has that fan and a different light configuration. I'm vague on the details since it's been a few years since l've looked the car ove, but It might have glass lenses too.

Yes, some European-delivery cars (Germany, plus maybe other countries, but can't recall exactly right now) had that oddball light configuration with the smaller inboard side lights. That may have been the result of a regulation that stipulated that running lights had to be separate and smaller than turn signals, or something like that. Anyway, I'd be 99 percent certain that it is original to that car.
 
Just checked my Original Austin-Healey by Clausager and he states that export cars after 1964 could be equipped with 8 and 16 blade fans.
