And then i took the car to my buddy's shop, DGR FAB, where things really started happening.

What's this you ask?

I'm building this car for my dad who gave it to me just before he got sick. It was always his unfinished project, but he never planned to take it this far. It'll see occasional street driving, when i want to scare my girlfriend or another unsuspecting passenger, and track days on road courses and autocross.

Progress has been a bit slow lately due to my fabricator being backed up, so these are all the pics i have for now. But in the meantime, enjoy and let me know what you guys think!!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tinkerman

The rear seat passengers may have a bit or trouble getting in! LOL Please keep the pictures coming. Way cool!

Very good fabrication quality. Now just don't forget to finish welding all those tacks. The hiem joint suspension ought to rattle the teeth outa your head. It's gonna be a blast to drive. Think you'll be able to keep it pointed the right direction autocrossing?

I got a '58 Volvo 544 Panel Delivery in the barn... and a 350 crate in the shop. I've wanted to do the same for years... but not enough time and too many other projects... selling it to a friend who is going to finish it up. Keep up the work... it will be a blast to drive!

That volvo is going to be sweet when it's done as well!

As far as autocross...We've got the engine pretty far pack, which should give us a pretty low polar moment and help me keep this thing pointed where it needs to go. Even if i can't manage that, i'll surely have fun trying!

And the fab work needs to be finished. Much of the cage is just tacked in, awaiting final welds. I should hopefully have more progress pics by next week...

It's already been said. Only thing that comes to mind is WOW!

I doubt you'll be stopping this ride with your feet.

This project is going deep. Should be fun to drive, if you can do
so without losing your license.
