Chasing Electrical Gremlins

I was chasing the prince's gremlins around the inside of my TR7, (turn signals and brake lights). I have the found the problem to be rusty connections. (here comes the but), However, running forward from the boot is a ribbon wire containing a black ground wire in it. This wire disappears over the top of the passenger side rear wheel well inside the boot. Does any body know the physical location where that little black wire grounds to the body? I'm sure if all the other grounds were poor this one of coarse will be as well.

It may be best to splice a new ground wire to the existing bundle, then it wont matter where the bad connection actually is.
