It's official, the Chute-Out is back. Confirmed date and time is May 16th, first runs start at 9am. Location, Chanute Martin Johnson Airport, Chanute, Kansas. Entry fee should be $20 or less, don't know at this time. This is open to all British cars. It's a chance to see how fast your car can go. You will have a half mile to accelerate to top speed then be timed by radar before you start your braking. The shut down area is about 1/2 mile.

You made my heart flitter for a minute, Bill! But alas, wrong Chanute!

Chanute AFB in Rantoul,IL hosted many SCCA races in the late 50's early 60's...as well as autocrosses through the early 80's before it was closed by the government.

Spent a few months at Chanute in 1968...tech. school to learn Pneudraulics om Air Force aircraft....Hot...hot...and hotter.
