Chain Tensioner on Double Row Chain

Those of you who are running double row timing chains. are you using a tensioner on them?

I read that some people are using a 'single row' tensioner to prevent the chain from whipping as it st stretches. Unfortunately a double row tensioner isn't available anymore.

I know that it's not the tensioner isn't a standard item on 1275 (that have dual row timing chains as standard).

The only chain tensioners on A-series engines I ever saw were on A+ FWD blocks, I've saw a few folks make them work on RWD blocks, but I raced these things forever at rpms as high as 9000, and never had a problem with the lack of a chain tensioner, but I've seen plenty of MGB guys have tensioners failed. In my opinion I'd say don't worry about it.

Thanks Hap....your word is good enough for me.
