Celebrating a special birthday today...

I celebrated Bic Healey's birthday with the Roadrunner Austin Healey Club (Albuquerque NM). We all left this morning and departed at 8:30 for the Salt Mission Trail and viewed the Quari Ruins which is the Salina Pueblo Missions which was followed by the Gran Quivira Ruins where we had a box lunch. Unfortunately I had to return home as time was closing in. I did not get to view the Abo Ruins. The Quari Ruins were most interesting. The best part was caravaning with a group of Healeys as well as a vintage Maserati. I got rained on twice but it was actually quite refreshing. I just speeded up to blow the rain off the windscreen. It worked. My end route home picked up Route 66 and this took me to my door.

P.S. Total mileage was 236 from and to garage. Of course Agatha purred.

And welcome home from your adventure. You had a *great* time.

That drive gives me another goal on my trip when I get in your neck of the woods. I hope those same places are open in late September.

Tom, Thanks! - Doug
You're very welcome! Now you owe me an old fashioned California hamburger and chocolate malt at your favorite Eureka burger place.
