I want to build a Caterham Seven utilising my 2.0l 16 valve Calibra engine. I know some of you will try to convert me to Rover or Duratec or some sort of bike engine but I am adamant!! I want to build a VX!!
If anyone has any info or can tell me where to look on the net I would welcome your comment.
In particular I need to know about engine mounts (how high or low the engine has to sit), gearbox coupling (i.e. which box to use, bell housing, spacer plates etc.)
Can I use the original VX Calibra fuel injection system and engine management system or do I need to change it?
Does the engine need any modifications to make it fit a seven?
Anything else I need to consider? Please let me know.
