Ignorant Little Punk caught.

A very, very sick human being.

That kid needs professional intervention, immediately. History is full of examples of sickos who are cruel to animals, and then segue to people. This kid's a prime candidate.

I hope the judge or someone locks him up in a nice psychiatric ward for a loooong time.

Sick.

Jeffery Dahmer started with animals.

How do you know that? The article also mentioned other suspects.

Didn't read the article. My comment is for the perpetrator, obviously.

If he is guilty then I agree with Mark - but I agree that he is presumed innocent until proven guilty. But if he is - then he is clearly a sick young man!

With that I completely agree. For all we know so far, a 40 year old ex-Siegfried and Roy showgirl had some bad experiences. Not likely, but there you go.

I agree with Greg! The perpetrator is certainly a vile human being, but we can never give up the presumption of innocence until someone is found to be guilty (beyond a reasonable doubt!). I have no problem with vilifying him after his guilt is established, but let's maintain some reason!

I agree that everyone has the presumption of innocence in a court of law - no argument there. As was the case with the Duke Lacrosse Team - anyone can be accused of anything, but that doesn't mean the charges are true. They have this kid charged with the crime with possibly more arrests to follow, but he does deserve his day in court. Whoever did this crime deserves whatever they get.

Oh just... Simply innocent maybe presumed suspect or not.

I'd like to be the one slapping the smirk off his face! However, I could think of other things I'd rather do.

Not to belabor the point but our esteemed leader did say "IF" and to argue the merits of whether or not they have the perpetrator, my comment still stands. Any animal abuser needs more than a simple "Don't do it again."

Whomever the cat killer is, he/she has a high probability
of being a sociopath. It is well documented that sociopaths
who torture and kill small animals almost always escalate
to human beings.

Basil knows more about sociopath's mental illness than I do,
but I do not believe there is a cure or a drug for this
mental illness.

As an owner of 3 cats and with a friend who has a pit bull,
I can think of an interesting match up for whomever is convicted.
