Re: Castrol for "CLASSIC CARS" 20W50W

Nice.....

And WalMart sells it!!

Re: Castrol for "CLASSIC CARS" 20W50W

It's on sale at Napa through 4-30 for a dollar off / qt.
Tomorrow is the last day of the sale ! :driving:

Re: Castrol for "CLASSIC CARS" 20W50W

The trouble is that NAPA only has 5W-50 and Walmart only has 10W-40.

Re: Castrol for "CLASSIC CARS" 20W50W

Your Napa must be out. Mine had some last week.
Wally world sells out of syntec 20w-50 all the time. I guess there are many classic cars out there besides our LBCs.

Ed,

That's the only number that was in the flyer for this area.

Re: Castrol for "CLASSIC CARS" 20W50W

I just got the last six quarts at a local NAPA on sale at $4.99 each. I won't need them for a while, until break in is done with Rotella Triple T.

Re: Castrol for "CLASSIC CARS" 20W50W

You guys are so lucky. Not only do you get a better range of Castrol oils, but you have quick lube centers too! Our Castrol GTX changed to 10W/40 about 10 years ago. They now produce Castrol Classic 20W/50 at about $40 a gallon.

Re: Castrol for "CLASSIC CARS" 20W50W

Yep;They had it at the Castrol quick lube.Matter fact they had ALL the Castrol types their.Even recommend Slick50(thats your personal choice though)

Nothing like the power of marketing/suggestion. That's why placebo's work so well. But, I am glad Castrol has finally gotten the sludge problem "fixed".

But don't you guys get it in those neat tins? I checked on ordering some until I saw the cost.

Re: Castrol for "CLASSIC CARS" 20W50W

I snagged three cases from my local NAPA. Actually they only had two cases on the shelf and one at the warehouse. Still need to pick up the third. Why so many you may ask? one of my Jaguars takes 9 and the other 12 for each change.

... I think the Castrol BLEND was that price per qt. Not the same as full syntec but the containers do look similar.
Better look at the label again before using it in your LBC.

Re: Castrol for "CLASSIC CARS" 20W50W

...I just pick up a case of castrol 20/50 an hour ago. Is this the oil you mean? Are there two different types of Castrol 20/50?
