Hi to all. I have owned many british cars and sold lots over the years. I'm sure glad the mussel car guys think they are hard to work on. Keeps the price down when they take a chance on one and don't want help from us to keep it going. I just got my 70 e-type dhc that way. He was told (exclusive repair shop) that it would take 6 to 10K to straiten it out. I managed to make it run supper with $150. and 3 weeks work. Love that stuff. Got it for a song and love it. I owne , 58 sprite, 60 3000, 67 lotus europa, 70 e-type dhc, and many parts cars. The jag is a really nice driver, the sprite and 3000 were taken off the road to be improved and the lotus needs painting,. Had to sell some to find the time to finish some,. These will do. Picking the one to drive depends on my mood.and when the snow goes. Boy life is hard. At 59 I better finish what I have and start enjoying them. Merrell

Hello, and welcome to the Forum! I'm 59 too, and plan on enjoying our Healeys for a LONG time yet!!!

Hello Merrell,

"61-1/2" & counting down to SS.

"Welcome" and best wishes with "Whichever" project turns you on.

Russ

Thanks, and Hi as well. Put off the second finish of the 3000 as the boy moved back in. Found tire marks on the dirt drive with skid marks on the asphalt. That was with the sprite. The only way to spin wheels on a sprite. The mystory of the repeated broken axels was solved. No 3000 for him, so I took it off to fix some things. He's out again and now the second finish of the 3000 will be completed this winter. Yess the 3000 is fun to toss arround. Havn't found the limits of the jag. yet. Can't toss it as easily, as one or both of you know.Off to paruse (sp?) the rest of this site. E's and 3000's life is tough for you as well!!! Great. Merrell

Russ, I suspect all of those letters are car clubs. Boy am I sharp! I need to figure out how to post some pictures. I have some good ones. Painted the 3000 and sprite the same. Black/red sides. Drives people crazy, they think sprites shouldn't look like 3000's. Put the paint on myself so it was doable. Would hate to pay someone to do it right. For a goof that would be too much. They look good together and from some distance. Enjoy your jag

I'll be 59 on Dec. 24th....good age for great cars. Where in Upstate NY are you???Just sold our home in Cooperstown.

Hi Jack, I'm (we soon) in the Plattsburgh area. Schuyler Falls to be exact. I've got a 25'x45' garage. I winterized 1/3 of it and am now in the process of doing that to the rest. Got my first car lift this year. It paid for itself in 2 brake jobs. Yes she's moving in. A great lady, we're very good friends as well. A very big new adventure!! Nice car a C-GT ? I need to learn how to send pics. I am a dinosour when it comes to these computers. Merrell
