I knew that after everybody stayed home last week worrying about the rain that this week would be awesome! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif And I couldn’t make it. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif
What an amazing array of cars! It blows my mind that this is just a weekly "drive-in" event.
You should see the Crud that shows up at the "weeklys" here.
It remindes me of all the " check out what I found on ebay" jokes that get posted here.
P.O.J. American bondo buggies with the $200 corner garage spray bomb special and $500 worth of J.C. Whitney accessories. And all the eclectic guys just railing the other cars that showed up (even if thier car is the biggest pile there).
Last one around here I went to with my TR4A, I was the only forign car, the only 4 cylinder, and one of 3 convertables (if you counted the Chevy SST truck), out of about 50 cars.
I really need to stop looking at these threads... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif Just a bad reminder of what I never get to see here, plus the fact that our first outdoor show of the year was a total bust (two weekends ago), hardly worth even getting up for... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/pukeface.gif
That Alfa (Brerra?).How did they ever get it
licensed in California?
Ironicly,I saw a Jeepster going down the free-
-way on the way home from work on Friday.
Actually, the ones I liked best would be far from the most expensive, the Lancia, the Mk.11 Jag, the Healey, the older Alfa (Giulietta?)...
Do you ever get blase about having all these great cars around?
Simon.
Actually you don't. That is why this weekly event is always so big. And this isn't the only one every week in SoCal. These car events are heavily supported, the turnout alone is an indication of the excitement generated. Something new every week.
