Just saw the movie "Cars 2". There's a ton of British-car oriented jabs in it that I'd think a lot of people (especially the kids it seems aimed at) are clueless about.

They come up with sound-alike names that reflect on the real thing - in one scene they have several boxes of parts labeled "British Wheeland". One of the important parts of the movie concerns Whitworth bolts too.

A non british-car enthusiast might miss a lot of the little jokes in it, but it was worth a giggle

I very much liked the movie. as said, sooo much obscure British car humor. But if I'm not mistaken, that particular vintage vehicle (Trying not to give it away) would not have had whitworth bolts, would it? Still.. great tie in. I guessed the villain, and my daughter got mad at me.... hehehehhe. She had seen it first. She also tried to stump me with the secret spy question about VWs. I said, "dear, I have an air cooled Type 3 in the garage." "oh yea" she said. Hehehehe... We had lots of fun watching it. Hopefully Santa brings us our own copy. I need to watch it about a hundreds more times to catch all the gags.
Don, I hope your daughter succeeds! What a cool dream.

We picked the movie up for my boy for his birthday. Finally got to watch it the other day. I thought it was great, especially Michael Caine as the british super spy.
