These are my favourite English jokes. Apparently there are a lot of them but I can only remember two.
OK. The scene is colonial India. Two army colonels are in the Empire Club sipping their gin and tonic.
"I say! Did you hear about Carruthers?"
"Oh dear. What's he been up to now?"
"Well, he went beserk, ran into the jungle and mated with a gorilla"
"Good Lord! Was it a he-gorilla or a she-gorilla?"
"Oh, she-gorilla. Nothing wrong with Carruthers, you know"
