carpet

I am looking at ordering a carpet kit for my 1961 Sprite. This car is not a bugeye but does have side curtains. The Moss catalog shows their kit 242-530 fits all side curtain cars. Victoria British has a sale on right now and their kit seems to be the better deal. Problem is they list one kit for a bugeye car #16-680 and one kit for a 61-62 sprite midget #16-681. I would think my car would take the 16-681 kit but not sure. I called them and the girl I spoke to had no idea and said she couldn't transfer me to a tech dept. Does anyone know which kit would fit this vehicle?

Probably the same.. Of course factory bugeyes never came with carpets.. only formed rubber mats.. that being said they are listing the different numbers to make it clear which carpet set goes where..

BTW, that's the normal response from Victoria British. They don't have a tech dept.

I took a look at that site. Not bad. V.B. has a nice set on sale now fore $170 if I can determine which one I need.

Get your carpet from Moss.

I agree with Jack. I order some things from VB when necessary, but I had to return a part one time and it was a hassle. Was waiting for a call back from "the guys in the warehouse" and finally just gave up. Did eventually get my money back.
