Carpet snaps

Hello all

I am in the process of replacing the carpet in my BJ8.
I was wondering if someone could provide me with the proper locations of the carpet snaps.

Thanks

Existing carpets should have the snaps in the proper location just be cognizant when you remove the individual sections

I understand however there were no pre-existing snaps.
Work has been done on the car before I purchased it.
That is why I ask.

Thanks

Well in the front foot wells there are four snaps on each side .You may be able to see their location when the carpet is removed and looking up under the car at the floor board see the hole locations for the snaps.

Those located on the transmission tunnel will also be seen as vacant small holes.

There are four [ I Think ] behind the seats two are located in the vertical panel just below the seats and an additional two are in the floor ---Fwiw Keoke

I just replaced the carpets in my bj8 as well, Dont forget to put some good insulation down first, I went to pep boys and bought a roll of 1/2 inch insulation that has foil on the one side and juke on the other for $24 Be sure to cover that trans tunnel as well. It makes a big improvement blocking heat and sound proofing. Glue the foil side down and rest your new carpet on the juke side. You will see your carpets will lay much better over the insulation. To be honest! I never used my new stud and snap kit because my carpets seem to stay in place just fine without them! Even more so with the rubber mats and the arm rest holding everything in place.

I purchased my kit from Heritage Trim.
The carpet looks great and is fairly easy to work with.
I do have an e mail into them requesting info on the proper location of the snaps but have not heard back yet.
As for the heat shield I did use Dynamat.
I am looking forward to see how much of a difference the Dynamat make because if there was one thing that bothered me was the heat of the trans tunnel.

Keoke.... After reading your response, I had to chuckle a bit, Another reason i did not install my carpet snaps is because i have to remove my whole interior next spring for for a new paint job! And I MAY...... put the snap kit in then, LOL..... Im not kidding! My new carpets lay down great and stay in place just fine without poking holes in my new carpet with those snaps! But if it means i get back in everyone's graces here!!! Oh... ok i will do it!
