FWIW: Gasoline softens/eats RTV, BTW.
 
I received the carb gaskets (p/n 3-876) from VB and they are a perfect match. Why VB has them only listed in the Spitfire catalog is beyond me. Even in the Spitfire catalog it states that the gaskets only fit Zenith-Stromberg Spitfires up to 1972 only. Anyway, if you have a 1500 Midget with the original carburetor use the VB 3-876 gaskets.
