I am struggling to put together the carb it is a Ford Carb and the kit I received seems to be missing one gasket for sure and possibly two. Where the bowl and body meet should there be a gasket between the surfaces and what is called the emulsifier should there be a gasket to go between the bowl and the body, looking at the repair manual it shows all of the parts in the blowup minus the gaskets.

is it something you can pop up a picture of? or alternately make your own?

Much on the interweb about the hammer method

First are you sure it is a Ford carb and not a Zenith? There is a gasket between the bowl and body. You may be able to get a kit from Kip Motor or Small Ford Spares.

From the small spares, there is only one gasket which is between the venturi plate and bowl, the gas should only get to the halfway mark on the bowl. Seems kind of dangerous as the carby sits on top of the exhaust manifold so that means I can install the carby oh engine and tranny are in the car.
