Hi Guys,
I'm considering removing the fuel injection system on my XJS HE engine
and putting on carbs. This would be for a racing setup. Years ago I looked
into this and believe the carbs used on the early XJ-12 should work.
Has anyone else tried this? Would it be better to stay with the original
injection system?

An old shop in Costa Mesa, Ca used to convert to six Weber down drafts for about 450 hp. Chuck was the guys name, Jaguar GT I think was the shop. Haven't heard of him in years but it might jog someone's memory about the set-up.

A Guy named Kelly Berg 360-319-9528 was selling cast aluminum manifolds shaped like a spider that used two manifolds and two 4 barrel carbs. There is a thread called "Lookie what I found! V-12 Carb'd intakes" on Jaguar Forums.

The photos in the thread show the manifolds on a 5.3 v-12 installed in a boat, but the same thread includes a discussion of a guy with the same manifolds installed in an XJS. I have been meaning to Call Berg to see if he still sells the manifolds. I want a pair for my V-12 MKIX project.
