carb springs '66B

I just installed a new exhaust system but now that I need to reinstall the carbs I am not sure where the three springs are re-attached. There are the 3 connectors on the heat shield, but I don't know how to reconnect. Does the center one go on the choke return and the other two each get attached to the spindle at the rear throttle at each carb, or does the center spring go on the actual connector that is attached to the throttle cable?

I Think I've got it. On page 118 ob the vic brit catalog it appears that each carb has a throttle return spring and the thrid one goes on the choke return. Correct?

IIRC, all three go to throttle return: Centre to linkage, the "outer" two to carb shaft linkage.
