Carb Insulating Block on 1500cc Midget

While I'm replacing the water pump, radiator, etc (see post on winning a trophy but.....) I guess I'll clean and replace other items in the engine compartment that the last owner didn't do. I noticed that there is some red colored goop between the carb and the intake manifold. According to the parts breakdown there is an insulating block between the carb and the intake manifold with a gasket on each side of the insulating block. Moss and VB don't carry that part. Any idea where I can get a good used insulating block and also the gaskets? Thanks.

I couldn't find that stuff anywhere. I ended up super glueing a broken plastic block back togther and making my own gaskets.

It were a pain.

The insulating block is made of "unobtainium". I have seen them from time to time on e-bay.

And to think I almost chiselled mine off last weekend. Thank you God that I'm lazy /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif

Has anyone asked Tony, he has piles of piles and piles.
