Does the linkage (choke and throttle) between the 2 carbs have to be disconnected before the carbs can be adjusted. Started the new engine last night and ran for an hour in the shop. Had 20 lbs oil pressure at hot idle 40 lbs at 2,000 rpm and 60 lbs at 4,000 and a constant 190 degrees sitting still.
 
No they do not, just make sure you put a little peasure on the bottom of the jets while adjusting. It helps in keeping the choke off at all times so you won't get a false reading. The little SU adjusting tool for the nut makes things alot easier.

Hi, me again, you do have to have each cab working by itself, so the throttle linkage has to be loosened and make sure when you tighten it all back up that both carb throttles move at the same time. Wayne
 
I will second Wayne's advice. The coupling between carb throttle shafts has to be loosened in order to set carb sync. After sync is set, tighten the coupling. It is also suggested that the "choke" wires be loosened during all adjustments & final adjustment of the "chokes" be done last.
