The city of Mississauaga (outskirts of Toronto) had an evening tonight to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee (yes I know. Things move slower there) Anyways, various British clubs were invited and while they were hoping for 75 cars, about 35 showed up - all Triumph & MG and one AH and one Sunbeam. (guess which were the two clubs they asked first

) Anyways, Mark (Abarth69) and I went. Beautiful. As nice as venue as I have seen in the city square. Singers, tea and scones and a gorgeous evening. It was really nice. (Interestingly as this was absolutely not a car show crowd there wasn't as much etiquette about not touching the cars which was a bit of an issue with kids on scooters etc.) But other than that it was a truly lovely evening and a gorgeous drive home. Some of the cars, Ms Triss and Mark's big Healey.

Y'all gotta queen, when'd that happen? :jester:

Nah, Queen's got trailers. But, thanks!

The GT on the left was actually Silver - very pretty car. Hood louvers too which were a nice touch. The one on the right was Bermuda Blue. I think the first one I have ever seen. Gorgeous retro colour (don't think I'd ever seen one), and, the car was a survivor, bought off the showroom floor by the fellow's dad, always in the family.

Ahh yes: now I see the silver. My colour-blindness!

Nice story that it's in the family.

the one you posted - is it Bedouin? I have seen a few that colour and thought seriously about painting Ms Triss that colour.

Ms.Triss is looking fine, also the Midget 50th grill badge is proudly displayed !
