Hey folks!

I am taking my old girl to her first car show on the 8th (Gettysburg, for anyone playing at home). Since I am unexperienced at these things, I figured I would ask those who have gone before me. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

So what should I bring? I figured a folding chair for myself and one for the wife, but anything else?

Towel to wipe the girl down with? A stick to keep off the gawkers? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif What's on eveyone's "We Always Bring These With US To a Show" list?

BRITISH CAR FORUM CARDS, cooler with beverage of choice, camera, BRITISH CAR FORUM CARDS, any pictures of restoration (if applicable), BRITISH CAR FORUM CARDS, period advertisements, etc. of your particular car, and BRITISH CAR FORUM CARDS! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Mickey's definitely got the right idea ;)....but I would really emphasize the COOLER aspect. Bring as big a cooler as you can fit in the car, and fill it as full of favorite beverage(s) as you can. If it's sunny and the show is more than 15 minutes long, you'll a: thank me, and b: be able to offer extras to others who didn't think to bring a cooler. (Yeah, I know there's likely to be some place on site with liquids for sale, but....)

Don't forget your spare ignition system, spare fuel pump,
spare distributor, spare radiator, spare trailing arms,
spare ignition switch, 3 gallons of water, spare brake

You need one of those " don't touch unless your naked" signs. And a camera, in case your lucky enough for a naked volunteer.
 
Don't forget to wear your BCF T-shirt!!

I saw a nicely done sign on an MGA (of all things) at the last LBC show and it read,

"Please don't touch me. I'm not that kind of car."

Cute, but effective.

The show is in the parking lot of an outlet mall. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif Plenty of place for shade, I would think, but no beer. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif So I'll pack plenty of water. Last I heard, it was supposed to be 90 degrees! Ack!

So, I was wondering... should I bring any BCF cards? (BTW, what ARE those?)

No T-Shirt. I dont even have any of my clubs' badges on my car yet! (Sorry, TRAC and CTR!)

I like the naked thing though... specially since I am a naturist in my spare time! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif I'll make sure I bring my camera!

Hey, Dale, bring her on up! Well come home at about 3 after the show is over, and have dinner at Clydes on the lake! We just need a ferry between PR and the mainland!

Just passing thru and thought this may be of Interest to You People?

Basil will probably track me down & have me shot for this but here it goes:

I ord. BCF Cards (Rec`g. 50) but I did`nt want the BCF Stickers: Basil was good enough to "Trade-Off" the Stickers for More Cards:

Think about it! How far will "8 BCF Cards" Go??

Our Local Club supplies Cards to pass out & Its "How many would You like? "No Limit"!!
