I enjoyed a day in sun yesterday at Macungie's Awkscht Fescht. There were about 1300 cars on display with the featured car being the Ford Falcon. It is amazing how much cooler they look now than they did then.
There were only 3 Triumphs on display, my 3B as well as a 4 and a 6. Our own Jerseygirl had here very popular Volvo 1800ES on display just a few cars down from mine.
I enjoyed all the people who stopped by to say they wished they still had their Triumph which they owned in the 50's or 60' or 70's. Several people told me they traded their TR3 for a Corvair. I wonder if there is a reason that this seemed to be the most common replacement. I did talk up the forum with a number of show people, and next year MUST remember to have BCF cards ready for the show. (Sorry Basil, I wasn't thinking /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wall.gif)
If you are interested, I have a small assortment of photos from this years show on line.
