Car Service Data

For those of you who may ever need such information, I have a little book that I bought in the UK years ago that gives service data on every car sold in the UK from the mid-sixties until 1981. Not only every British car, of course, but european and eastern bloc cars too.

It gives bore/stroke, cubic capacities, compression order, firing ratio, Oil pressure when hot, valve clearances and whether they should be set hot or cold, valve timing, breaker gap, spark plugs and gap setting, ignition timing, torque-wrench settings for cylinder head, main bearing, big end and flywheel, the toe-in, camber angle, castor angle and kingpin angle (where applicable), Oil refill capacities for sump, gearbox and differential, and type of battery with required amp-hours.

If you need any information that you can't find elsewhere, it might be in here.

Too bad the Spitfire and GT6 are not listed

Apparently Moss doesn't recognize them as Triumphs.

I have a similar book that I got for $1 that gives Euro cars from 70+ to the early 80s.
