May be considered sacrelidge, BUT: The nifty blue cover Mazda sells for the Miata fits quite well on a CB MGB... but it does have "MAZDA" screen printed on the front.

Just thought I'd pass that along. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

Edit: Just "fixed" it (see attached photo)!

Even better photo.

Brilliant work! It's what every Mazda car cover wishes it had under it! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

It's a "recycled" one. A friend got one of the first six cog special edition Miatas*, was disappointed with it so sold it. Kept the cover then found it too small to fit any of his Porches. He passed it on to me to cover the Elan... too big... but an MGB: Just Right! The funky clear window inna back even lines up with the license plate holder.

Edit: *six-speed, manual transmission "Special Edition"

You're a clever, if not sinister, man Doc.
Keep it up. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif
May I pass one of your photos along to our clubs newsletter writer?

Out of curiosity, what is a COG edition?

Sure banjo... as long as it has:

And I'd like a copy as well if possible? We'll PM details later.

ChrisS... cogs as in 'gears'... (six-speed transmission). Some few years back Mazda released a Miata with a six-speed Transmission) and bumped up (increased by larger displacement) the HP (horsepower) output a bit (slightly). Marketed it as a "limited production" thing... hence my: "six cog special edition" referrence. I s'pose a comma and some caps (capital letters) would'a been appropriate but I'm lazy... 'sides: it saves ink, right?

I've edited it for clarity now.

Are you referring to the Madzaspeed Miata? It was a turbo model with a special body design. My father has one which replaced his 1989 Miata a couple years ago.

This one didn't have a turbo and looked to me like every other Miata, but then I'm not real Miata familiar. What I was told is it had a minor bump-up in output via displacement increase and the six-speed box. I think it was "Limited Edition" or some such marketing department label. A badge on the front fender just ahead of the door had the "Limited" whatever on it. I think it was more a promo package than MazdaSpeed's work. It was quick, but had no "personality" per se. I guess what I'm trying to convey is there was a lesser "fun-per-dollar" ratio than with a well turned out LBC. My friend went and found a Caterham 7 with a MUCH better "return" on his money.

I got the spiving car cover. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
