A fellow over on another forum seems to have come up with a solution for heating up the interior faster than normal on an MGB. Maybe even others with the same type of heater. By closing off the outside air vent, supposidly the heater will draw inside air back through the heater if you open the inside fresh air vent, thus causing a recirculating system. Sounds like a pretty good idea. He says that his interior heats up twice as fast. Just thought I'd pass it along. It does work! I know firsthand, because it's all too easy to forget to remove the magnet over the vent.
 
And as you drive down the roads on a frigid morning, you can see all of the cars that have done that..... but they can't see you. Frost on the inside of the windows. Your breath contains a lot of moisture.... even more if you're parked.

I've found I stay warmer with the vent open to outside air. It allows you to pressurize the seals and keeps the cold air out. But most of my cars leak.

And Paul... heating advice from a South Carolinian? LOL
