I want that Lada Niva! Unfortunately I live too far away from Ontario right now /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif but the price is almost right... I've always liked the Niva, supposed to be fantastic as an offroad vehicle

I like the Niva too - very quirky. I used to test drive regularly. not much speed, build quality sucked, kind of ugly, not dealer network or part support BUT unique and fun.

Hmmm. sounds like a LBC /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

The Armstrong Siddley is the one. I bet it wouldn't be cheap to do a restoration on one. What a car.

I agree re the Armstrong - I suspect though that you might do well at car shows - whatever condition - due to a lack of competition.

Armstrong Siddeley Sapphire 236 1955-1957, 603 produced
Armstrong Siddeley Star Sapphire 1958-1960, 980 produced
Armstrong Siddeley Sapphire 3.4 litre/346 1952-1958, 7697 produced
Armstrong Siddeley Sapphire 234 1955-1958, 803 produced.

I'm going to guess it's the 3.4 litre/ 346 but even so. A little different than my Midaget!
