I was going to the store this week to buy shocks for the rear conversion. Mounting is going to be to the spring plate inverted and placed on opposite sides with the top of the shock mounted in the rebound strap position. But I cannot find the shock partr numbers anywhere. Monroes are more commonly avail here in Canada. Anybody...Part nos please and thankyou.

Why fool with reinventing the wheel. Shocks from Peter Caldwell are rebuilt better than new, work better than new, do not leak, and just plain work like they should have worked from the factory. Why fool with reinvernting the wheel.

Call him up, he'll ship out rebuilts, put old cores in the box, call UPS all done.

I used shocks from the front of a VW Bug. 1965 or earlier bug, linkpin style front. Available in a few different models with varying rates of damping; cheap and easy to find.

Me too Zimmy, Peter does great work.
