Hi
Thanks for allowing me to join this great site.

I own a 1970 Bedford CF Bedouin.
Has a rattly old Vauxhall cast iron engine.

I purchased it several years ago when I did a temporary move to the coast of British Columbia with the idea to live in it.
With all the racket it made I had no confidence in the engine.

However I decided to take it for a short run one day taking enough cash in my pocket for the predicted breakdown.
Never broke down though and made it back perfect. So I got abit braver and drove further and tackled the nearest mountain pass.
Made it to the top in 2nd gear crawling very slow and running at a good temperature. Then it become my daily vehicle carrying me and my belongings back & forth to my job site.
The audio racket my Bedford makes has to be my favorite part of it.

Currently it sits in my driveway awaiting to be buried in snow for another 5 months.
Hopefully come spring I can address some of the issues it has.

A truly rugged vehicle.

Welcome, Gary - good to have someone with a not-so-usual LBC on board.

Any pictures for those of us who aren't familiar with the marque?

Looks cozy. I'm assuming there's no A/C; what kind of heat do you have?

Hi Gary,

"Welcome" from NE SC. Hey; Being that you own an "Unusal" LBC; You should take a few pics & get it on the "2011 Calendar" for voting. If you already have some snow up there; Take a few shots of it "Hibernating".

Most of All; Have a ton of "FUN" here.

Regards, Russ

Hi & thanks for your comments.

Mickey Richaud no there is no A/C or no other form of heating. Actually I gutted the interior afew years back and typical of me I have not as of yet replaced it.
Just a shell now, It did have seating that folded down into beds, a shower, sink and stove.

Hi Steve, I have met very few people familar with what a Bedford is. Thanks for the welcome!

Hi AngliaGT!! Hope all is good in California.

Hi Toysrrus Most people that see my Bedford say its cute. I hate that. lol
I do like unusual better.
Maybe I will put a picture in the calender for voting.

I have this pic from last winter...
