I don't believe that you can disable this feature. You will find similar features.....and more restrictive ones still.......on any luxury car that has the DVD-based navigation. This is a quirk that had to be designed in at the insistence of the corporate lawyers, and you won't be able to bypass it without trashing the entire system. The reasoning behind this is because the navigation system can be a major distraction, and if someone had a shunt whilst using it, guess who is the first one they will sue.....that's right, the manufacturer of the vehicle concerned! So that is the reason for that perticular complaint. Be grateful......those installed by BMW, Mercedes, Lexus and VW/Audi are even less user-friendly. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
