TR4/4A Can I fit a TR3 clutch plate&disc in a 4A?

With a late TR3 flywheel, TOB & carrier, I think it will fit. The front cover on the gearbox is about 3/8" shorter, but that doesn't seem to bother the TR3 setup.

The 4A flywheel would at least have to be redrilled and tapped to use the TR3 pressure plate; but I don't know offhand if that is possible or not. This is a machine shop operation, since it is important that the circle of holes is precisely centered on the axis of rotation.

Only if it is the post-50K flywheel. The earlier flywheel takes a different starter, which won't fit with the 4A exhaust.
