After looking for a REALLY nice Bugeye for six months and I think I have found the "right" car. It's in the Pasadena CA area and I'm in Maryland. The car has a Moss Eaton supercharger installed and a Riverback 5 speed transmission. I would like to find someone familiar with these modifications and hire them to look over the car. Just wanted to let all of you know that this little Bugeye is on it's way from warm Pasadena (actually San Gabriel) California to it's new owner in Maryland.
I thoroughly checked out the BE last Saturday for the new owner. It is an absolute blast to drive! Handles like it is on rails, stops like right now, turns like right now and with the supercharged 1275 goes pretty much like stink! I really had to keep an eye on the tach as I'm sure the engine would just keep revving until it expired otherwise. It's the first time I have driven a 1275 with the supercharger (and a 5 speed, which was sweet!), can only say WOW!
This is a very clean (not perfect) well sorted out BE. Practically everything on it is new and looks much better in person than in the photos on ebay. And yes, it has disc brakes on the front, not the rear. The seller had corrected hinself in his ebay ad.
As for the selling price....cannot divulge other than to say it was below 20k but above 15k....somehwere....
Oh, it will be kept in a heated garage by its very caring new owner. Hate to see such a great little Bugeye leave the neighborhood but I know it's going to someone that will really appreciate it. I'm also ultra inspired to finish mine!
Roy....now if I can figure out a way to convince the seller I need to also check out his MKII Sunbeam Tiger..... :devilgrin:

She should have the BE in her possession (presuming no weather issues) by Wednesday, October 1st. I believe that gives her a chance to take it to an event she mentioned the following Saturday but I'm sure she will have formed an impression right after she sees it! It really is in "get in and drive" condition so hopefully I will hear from her the 2nd or 3rd - hopefully with pleasant comments!
